How To Attract Twitter Traffic - Tips to get Twitter Traffic

There are a few rules you can follow to attract more Twitter traffic to your blog each day.

Write A Good Profile

Your profile is the second most important part of your twitter page, behind only the tweets you put out.

Now with the new Twitter design, your background image is a non issue, which makes a good profile even more important.
Your profile should a mix of a lil biz and a lil funny with a touch of personal. This will give you the best chance to first, get you more followers and second, send you more Twitter traffic to your blog.

Find Targeted Followers

Having targeted followers is the most important thing you can do to drive more twitter traffic.  I am also a fan of having a lot of followers too. But doesn’t matter if you have 1000 followers or 100,000, if they are not targeted, then you are wasting your time.

Participate In The Conversation

To get the results you want from Twitter, you will need to be there and interact with your followers.
The more you are in the conversation, the more people will read and share what you tweet, and the more twitter traffic you will see coming to your blog.

Your Post Title Must be Powerful

When your blog post title clearly explains the content of the post, you improve the chances that others will RT your post. So keep your titles creative but targeted to your posts content.

Keep Tweets Flowing

Staying active and your stream filled with great content is the best way to get more Twitter traffic back tou your blog or site.
Now that doesn’t mean to tweet every 5 min 24 hrs a day haha

Know When To Tweet

When you only tweet your posts in the morning each time, then you are most likely sharing your post with the same people each and everyday.  So to get your post in front of the most amount of people as you can, then you need to send it out thru out the day and night.

This way you will be in front of people that may only get on Twitter after work, or at night when the kids are asleep, you will also hit all the different time zones.

To get the most Twitter traffic back to you blog, then you will need to tweet every 4-5 hrs.

Try to tweet in the Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Late At Night.

Now what is spam on Twitter?

If you tweet links every 5 min, You are Spam
If you ONLY tweet your links, You are Spam
If you fill my stream with 10 tweets at once, You are Spam
If your DM me every day with the same crap, You are Spam
If you tweet me your link, Yes, Your are Spam Too

Track Your Stats

HootSuite is a tool you will use daily and save you a good amount of time.
Hopefully today’s post has given you solid look into how you can drive Twitter  traffic to your blog/site each day.
